The 94112

Hi, my name is —

I’m excited and slightly embarrassed that I attended my first Board of Supervisors meeting today. It’s not to say that I never made contact with any supervisors before — my first story in high school took care of that. It’s also not to say I never did any other stories in City Hall — they were just smaller committee meetings.

Anyway, I was excited that I finally got to talk to Supervisor John Avalos, although I was slightly miffed. In his defense, I ran after him when I saw him sneak out of the main chamber during the meeting and yelled, “Supervisor Avalos!” down the hall. My interview felt slightly rushed, however, and he was far more unblinking than Supervisor Bevan Dufty was with me moments before.

I was only able to identify myself as a Mission Loc@l reporter (I’m in a strange state of limbo there). Oh well. Until next time, I shall remain a nameless secret fellow 94112-er.

Edited: Story is up!
